FIRST POST-New to the Forum

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, I've been lurking for a while and have been seriously considering purchasing a new Turbo. I had an E55 with some minor work done to it that i just sold, and now I am trying to convince the wife I need a Porsche. I was wondering if anybody from this forum lives in Massapequa because I saw a beautiful 997 Turbo crossing Merrick road today, I couldn't tell if it was Blue or Basalt. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I hope I can join you guys soon in the ownership experience.

Welcome aboard - maybe we'll run into one another one day. there's a lot of L.I. guys here.

YOu sound like me a few years ago. I had an '04 E55 (which was going to be "it" for a "long time" - what I told the wife), that lasted about 2 years, then told her I had to have a 911 so bought a 997S and swore now i'm really done. A year later I told her I just HAD to have the TT. So, here i am. This time I'm really done

I have been going back and forth for a while on the Turbo, can't seem to be able to make a decision. Where on Long Island are you?

Yeah sure til you "have to have" a GT2 or better yet a CGT Chris's E55 had a bunch of Kleeman or Renntech - I don't remember exactly but his car was fast...not TT fast but fast

Hey Alex, what's up?!! You're one to talk about swapping cars LOL. I really think I"m going to keep this one for a while. My wife would freak, although she wouldn't be able to tell the difference if I got a GT2

I must admit that my latest car fantasies begin with an "F".
