Radar Detectors
I use a V1 and really love it. However, I'm reading people combining their detectors with jammers.
Those who have a V1+jammer, can you comment on the following:
1. V1 + what brand jammer?
2. How long have you had this V1 combo?
3. Have you received a ticket with this combo?

I can only say from my own experiences (in Hong Kong) with V1 + Blinder jammer. No tickets from laser gun for the past 4 years. I think the laser guns are European made used by the HK Police.
So in California, a laser jammer is a misdemeanor if you have 4 or more units. If you just have 2 units up front then it is only an infraction. Is there anyone who knows the law and punishment who can tell me what the penalty would be if one were to get pulled over for having a laser jammer on their car?
Jamming: Electronic Speed-Measuring Devices

(b) No person shall use, buy, possess, manufacture, sell, or otherwise distribute any device that is designed for jamming, scrambling, neutralizing, disabling, or otherwise interfering with radar, laser, or any other electronic device used by a law enforcement agency to measure the speed of moving objects.
(c) Except as provided in subdivision (d), a violation of subdivision (a) or (b) is an infraction.
(d) When a person possesses four or more devices in violation of subdivision (b), the person is guilty of a misdemeanor.
(e) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who has a valid federal license for operating the devices described in this section may transport one or more of those devices if the license is carried in the vehicle transporting the device at all times when the device is being transported.

I've personally shot two different police lasers against the LI unit and was unable to get a reading. However, don't believe me, check out the guys of lidar and their independent testing. That says it all. LI was the clear winner two years in a row. And FWIW, the LI unit is about as close to 100% as you can get. I know the first year, they sent a prototype. If I'm not mistaken, year two GOL went out and bought the retail version. I belive they buy all their equipment via retail sources without the vendors knowing who they are or what they're using it for to ensure there's no monkey business.
BTW, Mr. Bondo.... Aren't you a K40 dealer?
As long as we're throwing videos around, check out the K40 in action. Can you say overpriced garbage?

I will only give creedence to videos shot by people that clearly don't have an agenda. Not to mention, proper installation of the heads at a minimum. What's up with the heads on the accord? They're mounted vertically?

OK, a few things about radar detectors.
the V! is the biggest overrated POS I ever used. And how is it that I can talk to V1 owners face to face and they say the same thing? but on the internet it is the best thing since the wheel was invented? You can't ever speed comfortably with a V1, the damn thing goes off at everything, if someone walks out of a gas station 2 states away, the V1 will let you know. You can't drive like that
next the V1 direction... come on, it never picked up a rear threat faster than a K-40 or from a greater distance. I know this because the police station is right down the road and the fools drive everywhere with the radar units on.
next looking at the cluster to tell you what the hell is going on and where? seriously, it is a cool factor like nothing else, but taking your eyes off the road to read the cluster...
the k40 always gets crapped on, especially by radarking because he is just a poser... BTW do a search, his recomendations on the interceptor is a bit flawed, owes me $10k in a bet, and someone here posted the link on this forum about the interceptor scam... always good to be associated with a scam huh?
anyways the K-40 always works, the laser detector and jammer is probably the hottest thing out there, the blue lights can be scene out of the peroheral without even taking your eyes off the road left being front, right being rear, both being laser...
the whole idea of a radar detector is to keep you from getting a ticket and speeding safely, which is what the K40 does, and very well. it is designed to be mounted out of the way, not like the passport POS system
And if the V1 is so great, why don't they offer the theft protection like K40, the 3 year warranty, and the 1 year speeding ticket guarantee?
no one does what the k40 does.
K40 hands down.
And if anyone knows the link of the guy calling the elvis scam please post it... it was pretty comical

K40 Laser Jammer Performance
I tested the Defuser EX laser jammer next. K40 product literature says a single Defuser EX is adequate to protect an average-sized passenger car. Larger vehicles, with their greater mass, are better targets for lasers. For those K40 suggests adding a second K40 Defuser EX. Up to two jammers can be used for the rear of the car. Had I used two front and one rear K40 Defuser EX, emulating the standard Passport 9500ci configuration, it would have pushed up the K40 Calibre's price to a lofty $2,652.
(According to the report from their contracted tester, on his mid-sized target vehicle two K40 Defuser EX jammers were mounted directly to the corners of the front plate and each laser gun was aimed only at the front plate during the test. But officers routinely shift their aim to a headlight if the first couple of shots at the front plate area don't pay off immediately.)
Such a mounting position wouldn't be practical on most cars since you'd need to saw holes in the bumper fascia to make room for the jammers. Otherwise, the first time you got a little too friendly with the car ahead, they'd be smashed as flat as a Kleenex, assuming that some kid hadn't snatched them already or they'd been confiscated by a curious cop. (A laser jammer is illegal in seven states, a criminal misdemeanor in a couple of those, reasons enough to hide it.)
Most laser ambushes occur at 600 feet or closer. But as distance increases, a laser receives less return signal and the jammer's job gets easier. At our 1,500-foot starting point, it's difficult just to see my Honda CRX target car, much less hit it with a laser beam barely 4.5 feet in diameter at that range.
The target car's dark color makes it a poor laser target, improving a jammer's effectiveness. To further assist the jammers, no front plate was used. Instead, I fabricated a clear plexiglas license plate-sized test fixture with horizontal adjustment to keep it perfectly level. To the top, using the car's license plate bolt holes, I mounted the K40 Defuser EX, having removed it from its molded plastic license plate frame. Detaching the K40 Defuser EX from the frame is a mounting option and I'd recommend it. Leaving it in the plate cover leaves it vulnerable to damage and it's too easy to spot it as a laser jammer. (Just make certain the installer doesn't put it behind plastic or something else it can't see through. I've seen a number of installations like this.)
We made multiple passes against each laser gun, aiming at different points on the car. We found that for the K40 Defuser EX to have an effect on lasers they must be aimed only at the front plate, i.e., at the jammer itself. If the point of aim is shifted even by two feet, to a headlight, all but one of our five laser guns could get a speed almost instantly. The beautifully-designed Laser Atlanta Speed Laser found its mark the moment the point of aim was shifted to a headlight at 1,182 feet. In Stealth Mode, the same laser could nail the K40 Defuser EX-equipped target car almost from the moment it began rolling at the 1,500-foot mark.
The K40 Defuser EX performed similarly against the popular Kustom Signals Pro Laser III and had no appreciable effect on the new Kustom Signals Pro Lite laser when that gun was headlight-aimed. The widely-used LTI Ultralyte was equally unfazed by the K40 Defuser EX.
The only laser gun against which the K40 Defuser EX had a measurable effect was the little-seen Stalker, jamming it to an average of 422 feet. That's a useful reduction in target range but nowhere near the performance of the Escort Passport ZR4 laser "shifting" system.
Test Summary
I was hoping to like the K40 Calibre remote radar detector and was intrigued by the promise of wireless operation. So I was disappointed to find that it has some major holes in its performance envelope and wireless operation for this type of mobile electronics isn't necessarily an advantage.

Is K-40 the second coming of radar detectors? absolutely not, but I believe it works quite well, and so do the people at North Olmsted Performance. You forgot to post the video from North Olmsted Performance with the K-40 test and the Strongsville Police Dept... using the old system before the EX defuser.
You know RadarKing... the one you lost the bet on and still owe me some money... (MBworld)
but you forgot to tell everyone about the only authorized testers of K-40, SML... you know the guys that instruct the course for law enforcement... not some guy looking to make a buck off an Ecommerce website.

your Laser Interceptor scam.. you know where you make something juiced up for testing but when goes to production comes out a paper weight...
http://www.laserjammertests.com/lase...ptorreview.htm
Is it legal in the USA to have this unit? not that it is legal to break the posted speed limit, just wondering about the stance you guys take when someone gets tossed in jail or some ambulance chaser names you in a suit? Off road use only? How about you let everyone know how this product was brought to market? a juiced up fake to get everyone interested, but never delivering an actual model that is the same as the original one that caused the hype.
I am by no means a petty cry baby, If it was the greatest thing out there I would have it. and I would even promote it passionately. But it is a scam... you will still get a few stupid people to buy it... some gullible more money with no brains type... I honestly wish the unit worked like it was made out to be so we wouldn't be wasting time with this fraud that you promote...
Good luck with the scam, hope someone here doesn't hold 6speed liable either...
seems you also get handed your head over here...

Go to YouTube and type in K40 laser jammer and you get 19 videos and not one of them shows the K40 jamming anything. Now type in Laser Interceptor laser jammer and you get 104 videos and you can see it jamming laser in every video. Type in Blinder laser jammer and you will find 216 videos of it jamming and it has been around a long time. How is it that the K40 laser jammer, that has been around forever and is sold to rich idiots that don't know any better, doesn't have one video on YouTube of it jamming anything?
ANSWER = BECAUSE K40 AND JBONDOx ARE FAILURES
SML are the only authorized testers of the K40? SML is paid by K40 to do their testing so do you think that they are going to come up with negative results? I could take a blindly bought 2 headed Laser Interceptor and put it on a tractor trailer and it will jam laser better than a blindly bought 4 headed K40 laser jammer on a regular car and that is a fact. Would you like to bet money on which laser jammer works better...that's what I thought so go ahead a keep selling your crap to dumb *** rich guys who think that something must really work if they drop a large amount of money on it.

LMAO... Are any of those K-40 videos shot by anyone that has a stake in K-40 or sells them? NO???? now how many of those Laser Interceptor videos are for people with a financial stake in it?? All of them...
So you think you can just pop up on any site (and you do all of the sites... and put no other input into any of them, just K-40 sucks...buy laser interceptor) and try BS everyone... PALEEEZE... don't be a complete tool... this isn't the Chevy forums, most people here have a college degree and can see when they are being BS...
I won't further step to your level... I said my peace... And I do wish that there was something out there that actually performs to the claims you make.. we all know that the Laser Interceptor doesn't and there and when you Google it, it only returns around 82,000 hits... LMAO

Ok serious question to you guys here...
I travel around 45,000 miles of driving a year in my sales territory. I use a Valentine 1.
I am in a lot of rental cars so is there a laser and radar jammer that is portable that works?

you can do a mount if they have a plate and a screw driver, just prewire everything to a cigarette lighter plug and run the wires through the interior and under the hood... maybe try the escort 9500 and the defuser on a custom bracket you can mount to the front plate and then it will be portable...
