Well, I decided to be a bit more financially sensible and go with the C4S and wait a few years before I splurge on a turbo. What do you guys think of this build?

I would change the "Turbo" wheel for the GT3 RS wheel . Here's a photo of it on a Turbo and IMO it makes the car look much better .

If you are not planning to mod the car the PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) might be an option.

I would skip the seat crest .

I like the rear console in exterior color . Seatc backs can also be in the same .

I am not crazy about red anything but that's just opinion. Too bright for my taste. Throw a dart at just about any other interior color and I would probably opt for it.

As for carbon fiber --I love it for things like the F77 intake . I love it on the exterior parts like the Techart vent and mirror inserts which I have on my Turbo . I do not like it for the interior and I know many will disagree and spend thousands on it .

 

Loose the Bose sound system and go aftermarket. Porsche has yet to make a decent sound system and charges a fortune for what they do offer.

 

First off the C4S is a fabulous car and you're going to be very happy with it. I love your color combination and applaud you for doing something a little different. I had an 87 white targa with red interior, and while it took some getting used to, I really enjoyed it.

I like all your other options except the Turbo wheels which I have never liked but, hey, it's your car.

Have you considered X51? You get PSE with it, which I really enjoy, plus a lot more power. It's not a Turbo but it's pretty damn quick.

The sport seat backs will have a volcano gray plastic back. Consider paint to match. I like the red interior, but not in the lower door, rear seat surrounds & floor. Consider deviated carpet in natural gray, if available, or black. You might also consider carbon door finishers & console, rather than the matching paint.

I like most of your proposed options, but there is little that is financially sensible in Porsche options. Looks like you are halfway between the C4S & a minimally optioned turbo(must have-seat heaters, manual sport seat & locking diff).

A few more years and you may be in the model change run-up where turbos are not available.

 

the Turbo wheels will look awesome with the slate grey car color...they will match. Drop the wheel spacers because they are only 5mm and you will not be able to tell any difference. If you are wantong to bring the wheels out to the edge go with 7mm front and 14mm rear.

Are you doing a 4S because you are going to drive it in the snow? If not go with the 2S if you wnat a car that feel more nible, faster on the track and just plain more fun in a sports car type of way.

The rear interior sectioned off with the carbon fiber and alcantera will be super nice!

Painted seatbacks, Slate/Carrera Red, just for you: I'd either go with black carpet all the way around and up the door, or at least black mats. And remember, we can get you the painted console after the fact for half the price of the factory option. And we can also do the PCM faceplates as well.

Skip the Bose, alcantara lid (it won't wear well), and carbon entry guards (no matter what you do, they'll get scratched up).

Add seatbacks in exterior color. Consider two-tone interior. I personally love Carrera Red, but black on the dash and steering wheel breaks it up nicely. Also, I have never seen in, but I imagine black stitching would look nice with Carrera Red.

Good choice with the painted interior bits. I have several bits done in Guards Red and it looks great. I don't like the red taillights, but I assume you have seen them and think the look good.

Also, good choice on the Turbo wheels. I have them and they look great. One thing to consider though as I see you are in New England too: if you are going to drive it in the winter (and I strongly suggest you do), just get the stock wheels and but some Turbo take offs (I got mine with 50 miles on them with PS2s and sensors from Porsche of Naples at a great price). You can then use the stock wheels for your snows.

That's going to be nice - I'd go with lots of painted bits on the interior like the seatbacks and center console.

For that kind of money though - I'd honestly rather have a used 997TT.



I have Sport Chrono and on a non-Turbo it is kind of silly IMO.

Bose - I'm not all that impressed with it in my car.

Heated seats - a must. Sport seats as well. I would have passed on the adaptives though - manual adjustments and lighter would be just fine with me.

Not a fan of the Turbo wheels but that of course is subjective.

If money is not an issue - PCCBs are awesome.
I would also go with black leather dash and the rest of the interior red if you're set on red.

Spacers? Save your money and get some nice aftermarket wheels with better offsets.

 

I have a Silver/Flamenco Red car (993 turbo) and absolutely love the red interior. That said, I would avoid any red fabric-carpet, mats, or other applied fabric in the interior should be gray or, better yet, black. Steering wheel should be black, maybe with red stitching. I am not sure about black stitching on red leather for the dash and seats, but I would definitely take a look at it. Sport seats with slate backs, other exterior color bits to accent/break up the interior. Carbon fiber would look great in this interior-dash face, doors, shifter/ebrake, etc.
Red dash, doors, seats, and other extended red leather bits are all great, IMO.
Know that resale on this car will be less than on a black interior and will appeal to a very narrow market, i.e. slow.
