Wouldn't be nice if Excellence put together a 3 part article on 997S engine mods and provide dyno and track results for each mod? This way we could see what headers do to the power curve and see how the plenum affect power and what mods work together as a package and what mods do not work together. Exc., 5/07, reviewed Champion F77 kit. Airbox, intake mods, Motronic flash, exhaust. There are also numerous suspension, wheel, and brake mods. Claim is 25-35 hp. Dyno showed "average increase of 8 hp across midrange" and 1.5 hp maximum gain. Torque showed :a "bump of 12-20 ft lbs across rpm range". At the track, driver reported an increase of 4 mph on his favorite 1000 foot straightaway. He reported the car felt stronger than the dyno improvement shown.

4 mph is pretty significant.
