I know that a number of people purchased a plenum, have you seen gains, and what other mods are you running? Anyone do a before and after dyno?

MCLC26 is infamous around these parts
I definitely noticed a difference with the IPD Plenum. It was the last performace mod that I did (for now), and the only one out of all that I noticed a difference immediately after. For the money, you can't beat it...

No dyno's yet, but I am going to try do a dyno run with my current mods before I switch to the Softronic ECU map, and then one after to see how it compares to my current GIAC map. I will post the results...

when do you think you will dyno it, not that it will tell what the plenum added, just curious to your gains.

Why would you change to Softronic, I had GIAC in my first 997, and it didn't cause any problems, I doubt that it will give you any further gains.

Its sad to me that there is not a single dyno available for a $1000 part that supposedly "adds power" or "made the biggest difference". People have been asking for a dyno for months and months and no one ever steps up to the plate, whether it be the manufacturer, distributor, or consumers.

Finally had a chance to butt test mine, and I really felt the car pulling better! Behind me was a friend testing the new M3 and I definitely pulled away from it. Worth my $1k!

Actually, RSS has a dyno and has posted it. They also made a statement about standing behind their product. What is sad to me is that there are still folks waiting for others to tell them what to do. A dozen people have posted their satisfaction with this piece. Do it or get off the pot but don't make it other people's problem

+1

I'm happy that many folks are reporting that their cars "feel" faster but the *** dyno is notoriously unreliable.

IMO it's not unreasonable to wait for a unbiased dyno. Besides - I didn't buy this car for sheer power - it's not as if it is a slug bone stock. :

I definitely would have picked up a C6 Z06 if speed were the ultimate concern.

i will be adding a EVOMS intake soon but besides that stock 997S. throttle was more responsive since i added the plenum. So i felt it was worth the 800 we bought at group buy deal.
