Plenum owners, feedback please
Due to the overwhelming success and reliability of the “butt dyno” I hear that Porsche AG, in an attempt to save on R&D, will cease using an actual dynamometer and switch over to the “butt dyno”.
I also hear that in the brochures for the 2009 model year 997 with DFI instead of posting actual dyno graphs or listing actual hp or torque ratings they will simply state that they felt an improvement over the precious motor and that it was a no brainer.

My NEW “butt dyno”

Gerry
I am in NY. Come over this way (the roads are better) and we can do a roll-on, lets say 30-100. I am interested in the results. Real world trumps dyno every time. I do have a set of headers that seem to have made the engine peakier, but stock otherwise. I would ask Rick but he is too busy whining in Col. Worse than my first wife

Our weather lately adds to the reason to whine. Saturday it was 70 degrees and washing the P-car in Tshirt and shorts. Sunday it was below zero with windchill and 14" of snow.
Any other mods, or is it just stock?
I would love to get together with other 6speeders, but you are way to far away. I am on the West Coast of Canada.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.......you, sir, are my hero

I am going to dyno my car versus a friends 06 997 C2S at the same time, it is the closest I car come to finding out the increase, if any
This is a link to what appears to be an independent test of a 997S with a Cargraphic exhaust and plenum. There are dyno graphs of the car stock, stock plus Cargraphic, stock plus Cargraphic plus plenum.

The plenum appears to add 11BHP (wheels) and 14lb-ft torque (wheels) to the Cargraphic-equipped car on 91-PON Texaco gas. The exhaust and plenum together add 30BHP (wheels) and 20lb-ft torque (wheels). Very nice increase indeed for aftermarket parts.
