Rocketman -

I couldn't agree more. We're negotiating on the purchase of the car right now.

I think the silver on red is a classic Porsche combination and looks show car special while being unique and classy.

I was surprised by the salesman's comments and I'm just as surprised by so many comments on here.

But we're buying the car for us, not the next buyer, and not anyone else.

I still appreciate everyone's input.

If the red interior is too much for u, go for terracotta; I've Gt silver/terracotta c4s and I love it. It is kind of combo of red and brown.

I personally think the red leather looks great. However, with that being said, i would never get it myself. I think it is very loud and i couldnt see myself wanting or enjoying it on a daily basis. Plus i think after about a week it may look eh. I also think that the cocoa leather only looks good on a white or macadamia exterior color and wouldnt get that either. I am plain and like all my interiors black (added benefit of staying clean easier).

But if u like it and so far nobodys thoughts have changed your mind, then i say go for it and enjoy!

I like the 2-tone interiors to reduce the amount of color. I think red, like terracotta, looks best when used sparingly, with black dash top, black along top of doors, on door pulls, on lower door carpets, floor carpets, etc.

It is classy and unique.
And seems like you're not really worried about resale, so I say go for it.

If it's all red, it may be a bit too much. If you offset with black or grey in some strategic places it will look much better.

I saw it the other day, and it is beautiful. It isn't subtle, so I'd suggest seeing it in person to make sure you like it. Or you could just get the same boring silver on black as every other car on the road.

Personally, I think it looks great w/ the right amount of deviation. I was VERY close to going with it on a custom order w/ painted center console, door finishers, dark floor mats. I think w/ deviating carpeting or upper console it would look hot. The problem is it's hard to envision all of those custom mods and the straight all red interior is too much for me. Yes, resale will not be easy, which is another reason I went w/ boring black.

I saw a black on red 997s the other day on a dealer showroom floor. The interior looked awesome. I bet it would look even better with a silver exterior.

I really like red that is strategically placed in the interior. Red seats with most everything else black would look great in my opinion. I'm a big fan of interiors that are a bit different. Here are pics from a couple of my cars with "different" interiors. I think both are stunning!
