Your thoughts on the Carrera Red interior
I've only had one, ivory over red. It worked well in this car. I've also seen black over red in a 911 that was very appealing with black carpets and mats and some carbon fiber bits to break up the red.
That's a real beauty.
I like the red int. on white and arctic silver I personally would order a car with it. I have always bought in stock cars. Do what you like some, people will love it and some will hate it, no matter what you choose. I would look to pick up a red int. car in Atlanta, sounds like you could work a deal there. Good luck!
The silver/guards red color combination coincides with the new Boxster RS 60 spyder which was how the 1960's RS 60 came back then. I guess Porsche wanted to roll out the same color combination in other models. It worked back then, but will time repeat itself?
Well we ended up getting the car.
She's GT Silver over Carrera Red Natural Leather with deviating carpets. I love it.
I'll try and post a thread this weekend with more pictures.

Can't wait to see the pics. I have a feeling I'm going to kick myself for not sticking w/ the red interior.
Classy combo....it looks great in MB Gullwing. I think it also looks great in some of the 1960s and early 70s 911. Not to sure if I would buy it in a 997....unless you are going to keep the car forever and don't care about resale. Better than another boring color combo....

Red rocks
I had a S2000 with a red interior and I really liked it. My preference is mostly black interior with Red inserts in the seats. Maybe a bit of carbon fiber or aluminum added in.
Looks great. Enjoy the car.
My next car will likely be Black, on Black with Red inserts.

If the salesman is saying it has been a hard sell, you will probably have an even tougher time selling it when you decide to let go of the car or take a big hit in its value over your typical boring all black interior.
