I don't see the M3 pulling away by that amount? What gear was each car? One race doesn't prove anything.

I should have a video 911 Turbo vs 911 C2S.

 

The car has almost 70hp more than the C2s ( 414hp if I'm correct). The lighter weight and better traction of the 911 is only a factor 0-60 or 1/4 mile. If your racing from a 30mph roll your racing the v8's race. As soon as I saw the way the race was going to be run, I knew the BMW would win.

 

The M3 has a 59 hp advantage but is much porkier....the M offers quite a bit of bang for the buck.

 

That was impressive. Good job for the new m3's top end. The commentary after the race was interesting.. he mentioned that the two were very evenly matched. I'm guessing that he was talking about the initial take off.

Either way, I won't be messing with a new m3 on the freeway (well until I get my supercharger

Ehh would have expected it to be much closer, he also was bouncing off the rev limiter in that first gear he started the race in!

 

We have to find a new m3 for you to run... it seems to be your specialty based on your past videos

 

Get a boxster with 3.8S conversion and you can play with the M3s on fwy.
