Type 4 over rev a worry?

Me again. In my quest for a C2S, I've come across a car that has six type 4 over-rev events, which happened over 200hrs ago. My forum searches tell me Type 4 is 7900-8400RPM. From those in the know, is my research correct and is Type 4 a cause for concern?

1000rpm past redline seems pretty tame, but I haven't owned a P car...

Thanks,

Ron

I'd personally stay far away. There are lots of C2S's out there for you!

Have a dealer perform a DME scan, which will list the number of ignitions that have occurred in each range and the hour it last occurred.

You can check your overrevs with Durametric.
