Yes, that system appears to be our 997. And just to clarify, we do not officially sanction video/sound clips of our exhausts. It's our contention that the best way to hear one of our exhaust systems is to experience it in person. The concern with online clips is that you cease comparing exhaust note/feel and end up comparing microphones. Add that to the quality lost in compression algorithms and the prevalent use of less-than-ideal computer speakers, and the result is distorted to say the least.

That said, we realize that not everyone is going to be able to hear our exhaust in person before ordering it. This is why we refer interested enthusiasts to YouTube and the such. As this is a frequently asked question, we continue to discuss the future possibility of recording clips for release. Until then however, we feel confident standing behind our 30 years of experience, proven race-winning technology, craftsmanship, durability, unique exhaust note, and performance gains. Thanks for your interest and as soon as I hear about a 997S video released on YouTube, you all will be the first to know.

Mr. Kriggans: Could you email me privately about the new 997 system? Use mimishusband@yahoo.com

Sorry to hear about that, maybe we can convince you to keep it a little while longer?! j/k
If you're still interested in our product after you get your new ride, you can visit our website www.borla.com. We carry exhausts for a wide variety of makes & models. And even if we don't yet offer an exhaust for your vehicle, you can always leave us feedback about which application you would like to see us develop a system for.

With this exhaust, the horn becomes useless. You can just rev, when you want to let someone know you are there, or to get the **** out of the way.

I've had Borlas on several vehicles and I was always able to hear the radio.

Is this system $1599 everywhere or is it available for less through a distributor?

Chris_FL - $1599 is our full MSRP. Our parts will be less expensive if you do order through one of our dealers/distributors. http://www.borla.com/locator/ If you still can't find a dealer please email me at chrish@borla.com. I'm happy to help you out.

Restless - I'll dig up the specs. Yes, both part #s for the non-S 997 are still available. Both cat-back systems are identical with the exception of the tips:

When do you plan to release an exhaust for the Evo X?

From experience exhausts will sound different with 200 Cell cats versus stock cats.

Sounds like they have designed this system for Stock cats so be careful.

Unless I'm missing something (indeed possible), it appears from the website that Borla makes this exhaust only for RWD 997S's. What about 997 C4S's?

While we realize our 997S exhaust system will most likely fit the C4S, we have not verified its fitment yet.

Before we list a part #'s compatible applications, we perform “check-fits” first. We prefer this conservative approach and choose to err on the side of caution, rather than jump the gun and upset our customers. We are looking for an owner of a C4S who would drive up to our facilities in Oxnard, CA. Please send me an email if this is something you would like to be a part of.

Thanks again for your continued interest in our products!
