Borla Releases Cat-Back™ Exhaust & Headers for 997S
How is the resonance at freeway speeds in sixth? I looked at Borlas when I had my viper and opinions seemed to be uniform that quality was top notch, and at WOT it sounded frickin' BAD ***, however, I ultimately went with the Corsa, because after riding in cars with each, the Corsa had less of the "drone" at freeway speeds. Now I realize this is a completely different product for a different car but would be interested to know how the Borla sounds when you're just cruising along and my wife is trying to have a conversation with me.
Fwiw

FWIW, I had a 2002 330Ci and it had a B&B exhaust. That was too loud it interfered with conversation at freeway speeds. My next vehicle was a 2004 M3. I also got a 2004 Tahoe. I installed Borla's on both and it was perfect.
Great sound while not being instrusive at freeway speeds. I'm hopeful the Borla for the 997 C2S will be the same.

With regard to cabin sound, our system does have a hint of resonance around 1800 rpms. If you intentionally lug the engine through this small part of the rpm band, you can hear it a little more. However, most drivers do not lug their engines and accelerate through this part of the rpm band in any gear. We like to take into consideration the entire equation: the high output of the 997S’ engine, the short range of resonance, the overall throatier exhaust note, and the performance gains from our system. With all these factors at play, we believe the small amount of resonance is far outweighed by our exhaust’s overall durability, sound, and performance benefits. Please let me know if you have any other questions & thanks for your interest!
At highway speeds there is no resonance and you could easily carry on a conversation with your passenger or talk with a client on your cell phone. Our exhaust note has a somewhat euro sound, but is a little deeper. We realize sound is one of the most subjective experiences while driving. Although we believe our sound is the best, we are not so arrogant as to think everyone will love our exhaust note. And that’s alright with us. Our company’s legacy started 30 years ago with Alex Borla bringing his racing experiences in 356A Porsches into the aftermarket exhaust business. Today, we make our exhaust for the 997S enthusiast who doesn't want the loud sound of an overbearing bark, but prefers a subtle growl instead.

I loved my Borla on my E46 M3, of course it also had Supersprint headers, 100 cell count metallic cats as well as the Supersprint xpipe with no resonator. Here is the youtube video of it...I was shocked it had a 4.5 rating
