is that asking too much?
im looking for an 05 or newer 911, c2s or id realy like a c4s...with tiptronic and navigation, low miles, for less than $60k? do you think thats possible?
i found one local one that i havent spoken to the dealer for yet, its an 05 c2s, 9k miles, tip/nav/xenons/power seats, $63k asking price? how much do you guys think i can negotiate?i want to get it under $60k.
any leads would also be helpful!
the 911 is my dream car and i want to get it!! i want to get rid of my cayenne s at the same time & trade it in for the 911. hopefully get $40-43 being way to optimistic with that, who knows.
thanks!

I hadn't even remotely considered that, what are people's thoughts on this?
Thats what I was thinking...should they discuss a decent trade in amount, I would then try to negotiate a price to around $57.5 and see..maybe theyd compromise at $58 which id be happy with!
To the other poster, you really believe the price would appreciate after the facelifted version? Interesting thought....

Agreed. Some people have said that when the 997 replaced the 996, 996 values initially dipped and bounced back a bit. Still, the downward trajectory of the value is a sad reality. No way the price on an 05/06 will be more when the facelift comes out than it is now. I say this as someone with an 06. These are depreciating assets. Time is always on your side when you are buying a used car, unless it is a classic like a Cobra.

I am looking for a WHITE C2S, 05/06 as well (although NO Tip Transmission for me please). I've seen a few low mileage ones being sold at sub $60K so it is possible and I'll hopefully find one here in California.
As for price appreciation for older cars, No way with current production numbers unless you have something rare like Carrera GT.

I think the DFI and PDK on the '09s are incentives enough to drive the prices of 05-08's down as many will want the newer models. I doubt the base msrp of the '09 cars will increase all that much, maybe a few percentage points, justified by the DFI and increase in HP. The options may be higher, the PDK may be a "not so cheap" option and I know parts already went up.
As much as I'd like this to be the case, I highly doubt that. A new model almost never drives the price of its predecessor up.

Thanks for everyones comments by the way...I just dont want to spend $65k on a car and then find out I couldve gotten the same one for $55k!
I stumbled across this '05 C2 tip at $46k in my search (I'm looking for a manual). It has low options and insanely high mileage though. Still, if you could negotiate them down to the low $40ks, that $15k will buy a lot of replacement parts . . .

I believe the facelift will have the opposite effect - the old 997 will now be comparatively outdated and pressure used prices downwards. Also, my understanding of PDK is that it's clutchless and semi-automatic, right? That should put pressure on the legacy tiptronic and anything not paddle shift for that matter. Top Gear aside, people like to brag about flappy paddle gearboxes on sports cars . . .
