TPMS module

Thanks in advance. anybody knows where the module for 997 TPMS is located? I'm having trouble with "system learning" after new sensors in the tires. so far, hasn't reset and recognized. It's been about 30miles, but not continuous driving though!

A transmitter in each wheel attached to the valve stem and a receiver in each wheel well. It may take a while to "re-learn".

thanks, but where are the transmitters located in the wheel well? If I understand it correctly, sensors are in each wheel. Transmitters are in each wheel well? One control module somewhere in the dashboard? Am I missing the transmitters in the wheel well?

Reset the system in the OBC-
Go for a long continuous drive on the highway of 20+ mi or more
The system should relearn...

If not "Visit Workshop"

Transmitters are in the wheel attached to the valve stem. Receivers are in the wheel well.

I have been through the TPMS System Learning process many times. So far I found that the best way for me was at night when traffic is light, I went to the freeway for a long straight road. I just drove within speed limit (65mph here) in constant speed, and within two to three exits (say, about 2 miles) the TPMS System Learning light would go off. And then I exited and turned around to head back home. Before I reached my home exit (say, another 2 miles) all four tires' pressure (they were' -' while learning) would show on the TPMS display.

Give it a try, I think it might do

With best regards,

I just had new wheels, new sensors, and new tires put on and at first I was wondering why it wasnt detecting the pressure but after driving 20 miles on the highway it went back to normal. I did reset and set the tire info via the left control lever thingy next to the steering wheel.

I had this same problem, the TPMS module is in the frunk, its a little white box and they can fail. Mine wasnt working and I bought a replacement for $80 from rennlist, plugged it in and perfection. I had the TPMS sensors replaced as well, the TPMS sensors are inside the tires themselves and you cannot get to them without taking the tires off. I bought 4 new TPMS Sensors from tpmsdirect and they preprogrammed the sensors to 433mHz which is the frequency porsche uses. To get to the TPMS command module you'll have to take out the front plastic section in the frunk, at least this is the case on the 997.2.

Once I completed that I went back to the center screen and used the command stalk to change the TPMS Tires from winter to summer then back. By the time i left my driveway it found the PSI readings. It was almost instant. I think if you're having to drive 10+ miles theres another problem.

For the 997.1, the control box is located in the frunk area on the driver's side (left), behind the plastic shrouds, near the brake booster. There is an antenna in each wheel well behind the plastic wheel liners. Front wheels are on the rearward side of the wheel well. Rear wheels are on the forward side of the wheel well. Transmitters are located on the valve stem of each wheel inside the tire itself.

997.2 is slightly different, I thought there was a singular antenna in the center front area near the battery? Not positive.

See here for a thread on Rennlist where I added TPMS to my 2006 C2S (997.1): https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...-mounting.html

This guy shows you where everything is located for the TPMS system. Great video for anyone wanting to replace any of those things.

I have found that going through the menu using the stalk on the steering column solves the issue. Also, make sure your old sensors are not in or near your car.

The sensors may be going out. They usually only last 7-8 years. That may be why they have stopped transmitting.
