PSE Hack or Fabspeed Muffler Bypass?

As above.. not sure which route to go..

only thing holding me back on the PSE hack is the mod on the stock mufflers which i am unsure if it will affet warranty and its irreversible

Hear alot of tok abt torque loss in fabspeed.. how abt Pse hack anyone?

You can find used OEM cans on ebay for $119 from time to time. Have them modified for another $200, and keep your stock exhaust if the warranty worries you. I would go that route unless you want to lose torque and have the loudest car on the road. Good luck.

Hack for sure! It sounds awesome but not obnoxious. If you doddle around it's quiet and when you get on it, it roars. Go for it.

The hack will no more void your warranty than aftermarket systems. And the odds of a Porsche mech. even spoting the hack are slim. I've had my car in for warrenty service and it's never been an issue.

You cab always try the hack first, if you don't like it go with an aftermarket systems - it's a win-win

By pass pipes (ie NO MUFFLER) is very very loud. Sound great though but race car loud. Just keep your PSE and unplug the connector so it stays open and that is one of the best sounds going.

Guys there seem to be two kinds of pse hack ard..

One copies the pse with a single connecting pipe between the outlet and inlet pipes.

This particular hack invlolves an additional piped(seen on the left)

My qn is what is the difference?

That is not a PSE muffler it is a stock muffler with the stock muffler HACK. The PSE HACK is just to unplug the connector, the orange plug on the right side of the engine compartment so that the PSE baffles stay open all the time. that is the difference.

Just for fun try the Bypass pipes. There are always a few used ones around for sale. Its loud, but the sound is pure music. The burbles and pops off throttle are my fav.

Yes, there is a small loss of torque lost under 3k rpm. I'm currently trying to figure out if adding sport cats would fix this problem. The car handles much better due to the weight savings and pulls harder at the top too.

Cops don't hassle me about the loudness, probably because they are desensitized to exotics (F-cars/Lambos) with much louder exhausts here in Los Angeles.

You can resell them for as much as you paid.

I'll install AWE cats and bypass pipes this weekend but I'm worried about torque lose. Does this lose going to make my car slower comparing to having AWE muffler for exhample? or tha saving in whight will make the car lighter and run quicker ? I really don't know what to go with (awe cats + bypass) OR ( awe cats and mufflers)

Exactly what I'm wondering too. Since the bypass pipes kill some torque at the bottom end and the cats add torque throughout the rev range, what is the expected result???

Lighter always equals quicker.

I know there are members here that are running cats w/bypass pipes, please chime in!!!!!

Well I purchased the Fabspeed bypass pipes from a fellow member here and tried them for a week and it was way too loud. The interior of my car was buzzing everytime I got on it. It has a great burbling sound at idle and off idle but once you jump on it, it was way too loud (and I've had some loud exhausts on some of my prior cars). I does sound like a race car like the others have said.

I just had a local shop do the PSE hack and I put them on today and it sounds great. It has a nice burble at idle and a nice bark when you tap the throttle. It's noticibly louder than stock (which can sound like loud air when you tap the throttle to me). I didn't drive it around a lot today so I'm looking forward to my commute tomorrow to really hear it.
