I was also considering the new M3 as well until recently. It's a great car and all, but compared to the 911, it feels more like a beefy GT (albeit a very fun one). The direct connection that the 911 offers is what I was looking for. I must admit - I'm glad they've got the sedan back in the M3 lineup, at least for now. If I wanted a 2-door, I'd go for the 911, but for those who need 4 doors, its good to at least have the M3 as an option.
