A number of years ago, when the B7 RS4 was coming out the nice Euro Seats and the Flat Bottom Wheel were the two key items that were not on the North American models. Could never figure out why the flat bottom wheel was not allowed.

Very nice wheel, but I have not seen one of a 997.

The flat bottom wheels are becoming more prevalent on some of the new hot cars. I expect by the time Porsche might get around to them, they'll be out of fashion, as may be the case for fast cars.

Excuse my ignorance.....but is there an advantage to the flat bottom... or is it just cosmetics?

Either way I like it.

Well

the new wheel on the '09 with PDK appears to be slightly flat on the bottom.
