Rear spoiler error...

I just got Misha GT2M wings installed today. Every time I go over 75 mph, an error message shows up. Very annoying!! I was in the impression that the wire harness should have taken care of it. The wiring seems to be in order. Anyone with the same problem? Any suggestions on what I should do?

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Same problem here. The only way for you to clear the error is to bring your car to the dealer. The dealer has this special tools called PIWIS which clear the code off.

Gd luck!

He probably did not get you the correct wiring harness. Misha's wings take the GT3 wiring harness; It is a harness specifically for the fixed wing cars not necessarily the aero cars. Call Sunset Porsche in Oregon and ask them if the part number you have is correct. They sell at dealer cost.

I have the same harness and it doesn't work either. PIWIS is the only way to clear the spoiler code off for 997.

My error code has been in my car for more than a year. But it didn't bother me much cause i drive the car mostly in the city so there's no way for me to drive above 75mph.

Antz is right....I had the same thing happen when I got the RS wing installed. Took my dealer like 5 minutes to fix the error code.

The wiring harness is for the third brake light to be operational, not delete the rear spoiler error message. For that, you have to go to the dealer...

OK. Called a couple of dealers. The charge is around $150 for 1 hour min labor. They said it takes about 20-30 mins to hook up the computer, run a diagnostic and reset the error.

I am going to install a Misha GTM wing on my 997 c4s next week and had ordered the fixed wing wiring harness part #99761267071 from Sunset Imports. After reading this thread I called them back and checked on the part # for a GT3 as Hot Chocolate mentioned. It has the same part # (they sent me a screenshot of the micro fiche for a GT3). Anyone had success with installing a fixed wing without getting the error? Or a part # for the correct harness if this isn't it. thanks.

Again, the wiring harness has ZERO to do with the rear spoiler error code....

your car must be programmed (rear spoiler function deleted) for a fixed wing via the dealer...

yes, the aero kit wing wiring harness is the same as the GT3 wiring harness...

hope that helps...

Yup. I agree. I just got back from the Porsche dealer and they fixed the problem by simply running a diagnostic and resetting the message. The wire harness has nothing to do with the error message.
