If you have had the PCM cell phone hardware installed this is where you place the SIM card.

It's the 'Telephone Module for PCM' - you take the SIM card out of your phone, slide it in the slot, and turn the car into a phone! Works only with a GSM phone.

 

So if I have a smart phone (have a windows phone-the tmobile dash) it should work????

 

Do you have the phone module as an option in your pcm? If so, all you need to do is pop a SIM card from a working phone into the little tray, push it in and the phone will come one.

If you don't have the phone module activated as an option, then it will not work.

 

you need option 666 (phone) for it to work

Hey what's with the "666" option designation.. Is Porsche trying to say that driving while talking on your phone is just plain evil?

 

it'll work by taking the sim card out of the t-mobile dash if you have the porsche phone module but you'd know you had it if you did.

in any regard, the sim card probably doesn't have your phone numbers on it since the windows version of the phone is storing them in contacts as opposed to the sim card....

 

It was originally an option and they decided, because of demand, to make it standard.

For those w/o a simm card it's the connection for the flux capacitor.

 

I heard that is where you put your new ECU chip and it is good for at least 45HP!!
