The Laguna Hills location is no longer selling 100 Octane. The new owner replaced it with Diesel.

Bought some from Graham's 76 for $8.99/gallon today.

You all will see zero benefits useing 100 octane in you cars...unless the car has been modified/tuned for this octane. Octane is a rating on how volitale the fuel is meaning that the higher the octane the less volitale. So your cars will ignite 91 and 93 octane fuel easier than 100.

I beg to differ on your statement. My car react's better on a mix of 100/91 or all 100 octane. Higher octane's help your car perform better, Especially in warm or hot climates. Here's food for thought, If higher octanes are not necessary, Why are they still being used in other states and in Europe? I guess airplanes should use 91 as well.

I think Mike was referring to using just 100 octane in the tank vs. blending it to get to the 93 octane number.

Airplanes???....totally different engine air fuel enviroment. Hey...go ahead and use 100 octane if you really think it makes your car more power, you are not hurting anything but your wallet. Running 91 octane will not hurt your car either but the engine managment is tuned for 93 but the ECU can adapt to 91 with the knock sensor so there is no issues.
Yes in a colder climate you can use less octane and not induce preignition as easy as a hot climate but in your car 91 or 93 will not induce preignition (ie knock). Europe rates octane differently than the USA by the way.

Yes true...I can see why you Cali guys would want to blend if you are headed off to the track or autoX or a spirited cayon run or just for the heck of it....but running anything higher than 93 like 98 or 100 will not add power to your engine unless you've done some major mods and increased compression and the ECU is tuned for this high of octane.

What a lot of guys donot understand is the higher the octane number the harder it is to get the fuel to ignite...is that what you really want to do in your rather stock engine? Too high of octane and you can lose power...there is a point of no return.

Appreciate. I'll try a mix with some 91 and see if I can feel the difference.
