Good shop in or near Studio City, CA
Just moved to Studio City, CA. Anyone know of a good local shop to get service? The nearest dealer is in Beverly Hills. Want to install my new steering wheel. thanks

Lucent or AutoTalent, both are board sponsors and both are located on Sepulveda between Santa Monica and Olympic. I frequent both places and they both have top notch expertise and service.

How much do these places charge for oil changes / basic services? I found a big range w/ indies when I shopped around. Some places charge less than $200, some charge the same $700+ as a dealer (and suggest unnecessary work like transmission fluid changes, etc.).

I am not sure because I do my own oil change / basic service. I only charge a 6 pack of beer though

Yar, I hear you. I should change my own oil and do my own basic service, but I am lazy. It isn't rocket science, I know, and the costs (materials + 6 pack) is less that a dealer or an indy. Will contact these guys next time it comes up for service.
