Like a rocket! I have had no overheating problems from the SC. I have had the engine comaprtment fan fail and the raditaor fans not working correctly due to a botched ECU reload.

It is very loud however. You may want to listen to one installed first.

Jay - you have a nice ride. Check out the "group buy" price at vivid (also the TPC link):
http://www.tpcracing.us/products/
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/t...5-p-15559.html

Vivid Racing has teamed up with TPC Racing to offer their well proven bolt on supercharger kit that yields an impressive 503 H.P. and 415lbs./ft. torque! Get in on the GROUP BUY PRICE for $9495.

***The Group Buy Price includes the Porsche OEM GT3 Center Radiator Kit and Ground Shipping in the USA. No Tax, No Shipping Cost, No Hassles. TPC warranties their kits and Vivid Racing gives you a lifetime warranty on labor.

This group buy price is for a minimum of 5 kits sold. So if you want one, tell your friends! Retail price is $11,900 in addition to the $600 Center GT3 Radiator Kit. Many of you have talked about the price of the supercharger kits being to expensive for the price of the car, so this is what we worked out to bring them down in price. This group buy price is good for all purchases made till 9/30/08. Once all 5 kits or more are sold, shipping time is 3-4 weeks. We WILL and DO ship internationally.

DO IT! TPC SC!!
BTW the cats will give you more power (feel) than swapping any other exhaust part - my opinion.

Just curious: what sort of HP and torque does it produce on a non-S 997? I checked the sites but didn't see any dyno runs on a non-S.

Just listen for yourself.

If you are looking for stealth, this simply will not do. You can get pretty much the same performance with the VF-Supercharger and barely know it is installed. I just took a friend for a ride and he could not tell my VF-supercharger was installed except for the performance increase of course.

Again, your call, however when I did the research a year ago for the SC I wanted the VF Engineering SC, (formerly EVOMS), won hands down for three reasons.

#1- I felt the spike in the torque curve by the TPC was probably bad for the engine, or at least more harmful than the VF-SC torque curve that parallels the stock performance.
#2- The TPC SC has a very loud whine to it.
#3- There are lots of folks on this board as well as others that have the Vf/EVOMS installed and have not had problems or issues with it. That is not to say that you will have a problem with the TPC. However, I was able to find many more VF owners to talk to and discuss history.

To each his own. I barely noticed the whine of the TPC SC - when I had modified the exhaust. Now as I have the full stock exhaust back on - I love the whine of the SC. And the punch (linear) it provides. Each P-car owner needs to evaulate the pros and cons - and make their choice..
