Took delivery of my 997 and the interior needs some help. Seems it was handled a lot. Most of the plastics in the center console armrest is scratched up, the radio stack buttons for the A/C, radio, and others are chipped. Guess new buttons are required. The door panel plastic is scuffed and flat and the carpet on the doors is slightly faded. Glovebox door has a chip in it.
The steering wheel and seats need to be re-dyed or just replaced. The leather is also scuffed on the seats. Any ideas who I can call or where to go for some assistance? In the OC/LA/IE area for socal.

From all the the used 997's I've seen, it doesn't sound like "normal" wear, but more like "excessive" wear. Most of us treat our P-cars like babies. Any signs of this kind of wear might give a clue that the prior owner drove it and treated it like a rental.
In any case, try pelicanparts.com. A little pricey, but should have what you're looking for.

I think u have a dismantler in CA that only does Porsche dismantling???? I think its called LA dismantler. Google it ,it should show. Prices arent bad.
Did you not see these issues when you inspected the car before buying?
If you did and used it to lower the cost then now you must start spending money to bring it up to your standards.
Many of the issues are cosmetic and can be fixed using parts from a dismantler. best of luck.

By the time, I'm done replacing some used parts, the interior will look brand new. Were not talking about tearing apart the car, just some replacement for buttons, door handles, door pockets, and some other small items. The car has been well serviced. Have complete service history. At the time of inspection, some of these "small" items were overlooked. Any accessory shops you guys like for shifter ***** and such?
I'd consider that whomever treated the interior that hard, probably drove it that hard as well. But with proper maintenance, the mechanicals should still be in good shape, though, as you see, the touch surfaces show signs of excessive abuse. Replace the parts with used parts from a recycler.
That's a nice steering wheel Alex. I'll be looking for rims and some accessories shortly. Do you have any steering wheels with radio controls? First need to replace some interior plastic. Looked at many pictures of similar cars for sale and they all seem to show the same "wear signs" for daily drivers. Guess if you have a garage queen, sure it will look great after 4 years. On various pictures for comparable 911's for sale noticed the drivers side bolsters worn, switches for AC controls worn, door handles, brake handles, center consoles etc. Can't believe how much plastic is in the cars LOL. The cheapness of the plastic is part of the wear and tear. It's not necessarily "abusive" drivers, but careless drivers. We've all seen friends and family who trash cars in no time and others who take care of their automobiles. If the plastic was sturdier, the pieces touched daily would last longer. Go look in your trunk and see how flimsy the plastic is around the cd player LOL. A $70 bottle of leather die and conditioner from leatherique will do magic on tired seats. Suncoast has better pricing than the dismantlers for brand new OEM plastic! Some items are $20!
