LED H8 Bulbs

Hey guys,

New to the forum, I have a 2006 C2S Cab, and I hate the yellowish stock fog light H8 bulbs. Has anyone on here installed PIAA TERA 6000K Ultra White LED H8 bulbs??? I have heard bad things about Hoen. Anyone seen any LED conversions yet for 997?

Has anyone replaced their stock fog light bulbs with a after market super white bulb> I thought LED would make it look more 09+. Any thoughts or feedback would be apreciated!

Nice to see another local here. I've try LED fog lights bulbs on my other car. It throw cel and I believe it will need resistor to make it work. PIAA should work fine or HID fog light kit!

C2SKID, nice color combo! what kind of serious stuff are you planning next summer?

I've never tried the LED type bulbs. I do have the Hoen fog light bulbs and rear license plate bulbs which I've been running for about a year now.

Fortunately, I have not experienced any problems with the bulbs burning or melting the any of the lenses (although, after I ready your post last night, I did run down to the garage and take a look )

I can tell you from personal experience Hoen's service and products are superb. I have used many of them.

Hoen has xenon compatible bulbs that are phenomenal.

The PIAA is bogus as far as I am concerned. I tried them a while back on an SL500 and the lightoutput was worse than the OEM.

Contact Hoen and direct your concerns to them.

Yes but you are not actually getting w
"white".

You are getting a xenon compatible light in the similar kelvin scale as xenon.

So the lights will not be yellowish in appearance.

They will be nice and very noticeably different in the dark.
