Anyone have any experience w/ Höen License Plate Bulbs

Looking to swap out my OEM bulbs with one of these. Supposedly, it's compatible...

I've got Hoen blubs throughout (parking, fog, license, marker, etc). Fully compatible and provides a cleaner/whiter light very similar to Xenon.

Check out http://www.hoen-usa.com/ for details.

You'll be very pleased.

Thank you AP 997S! I'm assuming you are using their "halogen" bulbs and not the LED versions, correct??

Correct . . . . Hoen USA gives great tech support and will match the right bulb for the application. I don't know if Andreas is still w/ them but he was very helpful when I bought mine.

With respect to the license light the Hoen bulb provides a really nice bright white light over the plate as opposed to the 'yellowish' standard bulb.

Hoen is superb.

i have used a considerable # of their bulbs with great success.

The 360 Ferrari's have terrible high beams but having replaced those elements with the Xenon comparible bulbs has made a huge difference.

Do it. You won't regret it.

Agreed with everyone above. Hoen bulbs are great. Got them for my fogs and license plate. Very happy with them.

I used all you listed above on my 08, except the front parking bulbs, it threw CEL, so I used PIAA (just the fronts) instead

It's my understanding that the bluer lights (fogs) are not as bright as the stock OEM bulbs.

Blue is higher on the Kelvin scale and tends to make the brightness seem dim due to the color.

The best range for auto usages is around 5,000-5,500 on the Kelvin scale.

Brighter license plate lights are always a plus...

They make it easier for the LEO to read them.

has anyone found an LED version that works on the 997s? i put in some LED bulbs but when both are installed, it didn't light up. are there any out there that has some resistors built into the bulbs itself?
