New 997 Rear Spoiler Photos
New 997 Rear Spoiler Photos
Hey Guys,
This will sound wierd but here goes:
Was searching through our (FVD) website today (I am very bored due to this Hurricane BS) and found these 997 photos with a new rear spoiler and Modena wheels. This is the wierd part, I don't know what brand the spoiler is and how much it costs, but I thought I would share it with you guys anyway. I should know next week when I return to work what the details are, but in the mean time here ya go:

Evan
PS- I really haven't loved the 997 till I saw these pics...I think the car looks awesome with the Modena rims!!

The pics show very well how removing the now familiar 997S wheels and new rear facing slats on the engine cover and replacing with generic " 993/996 body kit " wheels and tail makes this 997 look 98% like a kitted- out 996.
The face is really what mainly distinguishes the two series .

997 Stock looks similar to 996 Stock
Therefore
997 Modified looks similar to 996 modified
What did you expect?? When a car looks similar to another car stock, obviously it will look similar when modified....
I am still not sold on the 997, but I like it more and more with each modified picture I see...
Evan
Yea I actually do like it
Then again I do have a CF ricer tail
You are correct its SpeedArt and I realized taht after the fact.... I don't see many things on their site I would consider rice?? The only thing I really didn't like was the 6 tail pipes on the Cayenne... Other than that, I think the kits are actually pretty conservative compared to say Techart...

Evan,
u're car is not ''rice'' at all. in fact it's done very tasteful. but Speedart, not sure about it. look the pic closely, are they trying to make the 997 looks like 996?? and really bad photo job even the wheel color doesn't even match. to me that's ''rice''.
people like different things, but they should be able to tell the difference between ''nice'', ''rice'' and ''racey''... if that works for u, that's why i like Techart.

Don't worry David, the spoiler isn't going anywhere (even if I wanted a new one I don't have the money for it
).
Thanks Arling. I agree with you on the yellow car, I don't love the reflector or the rear bumper, but the wing I really like.... I don't think thye are trying to make it look like the 996, I just thin kthe 997 looks like the 996 to start....
Later Guys,
