You will need the converter to run the LED's and wiring harness for this set up. Lots of money!!!!!

 

I would be surprised if the rear fenders had the same shape as the original 997. I am sure that a body shop can reshape the metal, but it would be very expensive to convert.

 

How much are we talking?

I do not know exact but a local shop had that question and it is lots of labor and money. Call Porsche and price out the parts. Remember the wiring harness is totally different.

 

Just get an '09 and be done with it; this way instead of just getting rear LED's you'll get all kinds of good stuff....

 

Not really sure the juice is worth the squeeze here.....

Some one did this on the Turbo forum . It doesn't look like it takes as much as one might imagine.

Looks like the TT conversion only moded the bumper. I am surprised that the metal work wasn't changed.

When I bought my 09 C2, I looked long and hard at a 08 Turbo, and I can tell you that the bumper shape is definitely a bit different, so I'm not sure how cost efficient/good you could make it look.... If possible, i'd get an 09. More than just lights involved, worth the upgrades.

Yes the tail light cut out and form is totally different than the 05-08.
