Temporary front plate mount?

Got a ticket the other day for no front plate. Do any of you know of any temporary front plate mount? I do not want to drill my front bumper.....

Any help appreciated.

Here's a link to a DYI:

Here's a link to one you can buy for $99:

There was another one done by a Cayman Club member but I'm too tired to search for it now. It looks as good as the one above, but it's cheaper, I believe.

Good luck... and DON'T DRILL YOUR BUMPERS!

If you're just trying to get out of the ticket, trying affixing the plate to your bumper with velcro... though I'd think the police would be on to you as to what you were trying to do...

Dealers get away with really strong Velcro. I see no problems with that unless you have some sort of film on the front end as the adhesive might react badly or pull if you ever remove.

The product is very good and easy to use. My only complaint is that the bolts were a little too long for my comfort so I used a dremel to shorten them a bit and avoid scratching my paint.

Great product sold by a super friendly guy.

I like the concept, but personally feel it looks worse, being off-center than just mounting the factory bracket into the bumper and getting past the fact that its gotta be there. I'm in the car, and don't see it most of the time anyway.

Like mobonic said, 3M double sided tape works very well!

Stupidest situation ever. I think SF is really playing parking **** to cover the budget deficits. At any rate, I was watching Dave Chappelle at the Punchline in Embarcadero Center, got a ticket for parking in a street washing area at 2:30AM, and also the no plate ticket. I was pissed because the car was brand new, and no plate on the back either!

how can you be expected to put on a plate you don't have yet...or have you already received your plates from the dealer/DMV? If you haven't received the plates yet I would take that ticket to the nearest cop and get it signed off
