Any feedback with LSD on 2009 911's?
If you drive the car like you stole it, then you will like it.
An LSD works when cornering harder, instead of the power going to the wheel with the least resistance (inside wheel) it goes to the one with the most resistance (outside wheel). The wheel with the most resistance will also have more grip, therefore the power can be applied a lot sooner with an LSD vs an open differential.
So if you drive your car like you have you Grandmother riding with you, then you won't notice it. Otherwise, buy the option.

Mdrums,
So i guess you are saying LSD will not come into play on street corners especially when cornering at a high speed or on slow corners, the 09 caymans S is also getting the lSD option and many reviews are recomending it for street

I'd say get the LSD and also get the SPORT Pasm(-20mm lower) which includes the LSD, but better handling and looks... after all a Porsche Carrera is supposed to be a sports car, right? I have these options and drive on the street all the time and the Sport Pasm is great. I also do track events too.
Thanks Mdrums for the reply
Now I can only refer to a review on Autocar and one of the Porsche magazines where they mentioned that Sport PASM is too rought on the streets . It has a crashing ride per them. I understand that a sports car will be firmer riding but they seem to think too rough. I never got a chance to test drive the sport PASM though
I had a Cayman S with PASM on 18" wheels and in Normal mode it rode much better than std. Cayman suspension especially when encountering bumps
Can you comment on how the Sport PASM in Normal mode rides compared to regular PASM in Normal
Thanks again for your feedback

I look at it this way....if I want a softer ride but still kind of sporty I'd buy a new M3 or something simular. I want a true sports car so that is why I bought a Porsche Carrera S with the sporty options such as Sport PASM.
I hope this helps and best of luck on your purchase! If this helped give me a Rep by clicking the little gold medal on the top left! THANKS!
