997 C2S Supercharged - Pics
Hi,
I have installed last weekend the VF Engineering supercharger kit on my 997 C2S. As I am located in Morocco, I had a mecanic from DM Performance come from France to do the install. The price was very reasonnable and the install was miticulous.
I just had some minor issues like Oil Pressure Sensor failures that seem due to the sensor not plugged correctly and some oil leaks from the V3 supercharger top breather that apparently should stop after a day or 2 (until the oil level settles).
Performance wise, the behavior is more linear than what I was expecting. I was expecting a hard push at some point more like a turbo. The supercharger performs from the start and keeps hitting hard constantly. The more remarcable effect is from 3rd gear and up, the gap between gears is just not noticable as if you didnt change gear. I mean I am at 4th 7,000rpm and gear up to 5th and it goes to 6,000rpm but it feels like it was continuous. I feel it hitting hard but sometimes i get paranoid if my car drove like this before or is it more powerful. I would imagine that the hp and torque curb has the same shape as the original car but with more hp and torque. Also I didnt drive it very hard as i was doing the 300miles under 4500rpm and just did some picks.
Here are some pics:
- 3rd Radiator install

- Water lines

- Water pump powering

- Airbox and Serpentine removed

- Cold Air Intake, Intercooler and compressor installed

Way to go! Please write more as you drive it more, as I would love to hear more about the driving experience. I may do this to my car, too.
By the way, I bought my car where it looks like you bought yours- ecarlink. Len is great. Bought 2 cars from him, sight unseen.
