The vin # would tell you production date if that is your question

EJ-997 is infamous around these parts
go to autotrader.com and do a "compare side by side". 08 has lower gas milage (could be a change of EPA rules). 08 has trip computer.

Thanks for the replies, the reason I asked I just bought a new 2008 Carrera and the owners manual is a 2007. I was trying to decide if I should ask for a 2008 manual.

I have an 08C2S and my owner's manual has "WKD 997 021 08" on the cover. What does your manual have? My PCM manual has "WKD 951 024 07".

My manual is "WKD 997 021 07" the PCM manual is the same as yours.

I found errors in the PCM manual. (07 PCM manual - 08 C2s)
