I'm in the market again and price advise pls.

Can't stand being w/o a Pcar any longer so I've decided to trade-in my Lotus for a 997.2 C2S Cab. I love the twin clutch trans on my EVO X MR so I'll give the PDK a try. Here's another dealer/market price question (sorry)... Who in California give the best deal on new Porsches? Actually I purchased my last two new cars from out of State so I can go anywhere to buy but the trade-in will be an issue. Looking for gray or silver w/ Meteor being first choice.

You can get a C4S coupe Meteor with PDK almost anywhere because it's a "launch" car . With Cabs might be harder.

Just an FYI --I heard the whisper rumors that PDK will evolve to paddles .

Not sure where you are in California but pretty much _all_ the dealers are hurting real bad in NorCal (where we got ours) and you can get a really good deal from any of them if you work at it

Have you considered selling your current car privately? I suspect you could get more than a dealer will give you, and gives you a better negotiating position on the new one, and allows you to buy one anywhere.

I'll most likely try to sell the Lotus myself first but just in case I can't get any buyer, then I'll trade it in.
I'm in Socal and the dealers around here don't seem to be hurting that much as a friend of mine was trying to buy a new 997.1 C2 and was offered MSRP and nothing less!!!
Just want to know what people are getting for C2S Cabs so that I can try to get a similar discount around here.

Your buddy did not look hard enough. There are two new 08 997S/4S at Pioneer Porsche in San Diego going for 20K under MSRP. One is a Mexico Blue 4S with every option including GT2 seats and OEM SSK the other is white and is very spartan in terms of options. Same dealer has two other left over 08's for 12-15K under MSRP. There are also deals on 997.2 launch cars at the same dealer. This is the time to buy!!!

A bit off topic, but isn't the lotus a good track car, with less expensive parts replacement and anhancements? Why the trade/sell?

I don't really track that often and also have a Viper ACR now and the ACR is such a beast. So does anyone want a Lotus w/ Ohlin shocks, 1900 lbs, custom interior, 273 RWHP for 1/3 the price of a GT3?

I have been drooling over that Mexico Blue C4S for over a year. It is gorgeous.

I cannot believe it has not been picked up yet. I guess you have to be brave to pick up a Mexico Blue car.... That being said this car is probably going to go for over 20K under MSRP. You could probably offer 80K for this car and they might take it! I am not sure how long they are going to let it sit... but with an MSRP of well over 110K, this is an awesome deal!
