What other choices are there?
AMG Benz is in the category of luxury .power driving, top down cruizing machines. The 997tt Tip might be priced better , especially an 08 leftover . Local P car dealership sells Lotus too . Maybe you have that in your area too.

The salesman also told me the PDK will be available on the Turbo by late spring or summer. I didn't know PDK would be out that soon on the Turbo, that's interesting.
Sport chrono is an absolute must with PDK.

The 997.2 gt3 and tt should be out by the end of summer at the latest (imo). Unless you love tip., I wouldn't touch that car with PDK around the corner. Not to mention that Porsche is likely gunning for the GTR, so the MY2010 tt should be quite a beast. (Of course putting a reliable trans. in the tt should be enough, lol)

with the cars you have, i would look into s63 or s65 instead of the 911.
but yes, if you had to chose between those 2, i would say turbo. I drove one and I think great. 997.2 is great also but turbo is TURBO....if u know what i mean.

I'm afraid the resale of the Tip Turbo will be in the toilet as soon as the PDK Turbo comes out, and out it will come before end of summer.

How did you know I got the Turbo Tip
But anyways, I sure did. With the HUGE discounts and a Porsche Financial money factor of .00146, the lease payment on the Turbo turned out not much more than a C2S PDK so the choice was easy for me.
Here're a couple quick pix taken today, once the car is dropped a little, will take more pictures.

Before I got the car, I kept telling myself I should leave the car alone as this will be more of a street car as I shouldn't need any more power as I already have two other cars w/ 600+ and 800+ HP. But since is a Turbo, and it'd be a waste of the car if I didn't mod it. I'll probably won't do much more than springs, exhaust and a tune. I'll have to go read all the exhaust posts now.
As to driving impression, I really like the way it drives as a street car. It is nice a different car than my ACR, Lotus, GT3, and EVO w/ JIC Coilovers and that's exactly what I was looking for - a sporty cruiser that doesn't beat me up in the daily downtown LA traffic which somehow I endured in my 996 GT3 for 4 years. I must be getting old..... sigh......

Congrats...beautiful car

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought and was told that the .00146 money factor was only for new 2009 cars ??

Watch out for dealers comments. A spoke with a lot of them and it's all bs.

The special lease or "limited certificates" apply to 08's and 09's. If a dealer gives you b.s talk to another. Some will say it applies to certain models...ect..

Also, the 08 911 turbo cab, you should at least get 20% off...

BTW...to the OP, congrats...where did you find that white TT cab? I searched everywhere and thought they were all sold out. I had an opportunity with a black one but wasn't to excited by the color and the dealer tried to push a couple thousand on top of the deal so I left it alone and got a white CS2 cab.

'08 TT CAB's are going for approx. 20% off MSRP, with plenty of 6 speeds left but no Tips in the colors I want left in Socal. With white being my first color choice so even though I was only able to get $25K off (not quite 20%), I went ahead w/ the deal. PM me if anyone wants to know who the selling dealer is.
