Best,
Scott

It really did work and woke up my car. I sold the 07 Carrera S and now have a 09 Carrera S with the new direct fuel injection. I removed the 2 side mufflers with the Fabspeed by pass pipes and right now am using the center muffler only.

Any ECU tuning for the 09 Carrera S yet?

Sharkwerks installed GIAC on my 2006 997S and I didn't notice much difference and even a slight hesitation off the line. Then James installed the new EVOMS flash about six months later and the car feels much more responsive and my "off the line" hesitation is gone! I am very pleased with my new EVOMS setup!

Ron, Sharkwerks told me they have ther EVOMits ECU flash ready for the 09 Carrera S. So far this is the only ECU flash I know of for these cars.

Softronic can also flash the DFI cars by sending them in and have been able to do so for some time. Files have been also completed for all the Boxster and Cayman DFI engines and are availible also.
We though would prefer not to do this and flash via the OBD2 port so that the cars can be returned to an original state easily by our consumers.

So as I think I understand it, you could flash right now, but it would require sending in your ECU, much like the other companies. But Softronic is currently completing their typical "OBD" connection, so that you can flash / remove yourself or at your Softronic dealer? That's always been a nice thing about Softronic is that I flashed it to my 997S via the port, unflashed it before I traded it in, flashed my GT3, ditto on the trade, etc.

Yes you are fully correct and thank you for putting it in more understandable terms .

mass is infamous around these parts
Scott, when do you anticipate completing OBD connection so the car can be flashed? I have read that the new software in the 997.2 is designed by Siemens and as such proprietary and is more difficult to read.

Yes you are correct and the DME is made by Siemens. We have already accessed, read and programmed these units out via OBD2. What we want is 100% program success rate in which we are finalizing.

We sure do. It's easy to take the ECU in and out... Like 15-20 mins

mass, I was told at my dealer who is very mod friendly (they use Revo) that the new ECU in the DFI cars will be almost impossible to tamper with. They said someone will eventually figure it out like they always do but the new ECU is extremely complicated.

As of right now I have heard from Sharkwerks they they have a EVOMSit ECU flash for there center exhaust muffler by pass but you have to send the ECU in.

As I understand it in this thread Softronic has a ECU flash for the 09 Carrera Boxster and Cayman 09 DFI cars.

Softronic/Scott, is your ECU flash custom to the mods you have done like your 2005-08 ECU flash was? When will you be able to email a custome ECU flash over like you did on my 2007 car? I still have my OBD connection cord and am wondering if it will fit the 09 car? The flash I did for my 07 was so easy and it worked really well in my 07 Carrera S. I love to repeat that experiance.

I'm going to launch the 997TT flashing first in a week or so and then the DFI afterwords.

Best,
Scott
