WTB: 18" Track Wheels for 997 NB

Looking to but a set of track wheels in 18" for my 997 NB.

I prefer something lightweight.

Looking for the following widths:

Front: 8" to 9"
Rears: 10.5" to 12"

I prefer something like:

CCW
HRE C Series
BBS

Let me know what you got?

Make sure you run wider wheels in the back (11-12), as you will need to run 315/30/18 tire to get the right ratio to the front.

Does anyone know if the 997 widebody wheels (19x11 ET51) will fit on a narrow body without rubbing? What are the recommended 18" sizes for a narrow body 997?

I can highly recomend the CCW 9x18 front and 12x18 rear. I ran these for 2 years and sold them with my 07 Carrera S. Stay with 8.5 to 9 up front and 11.5 to 12 rear. DO NOT go narrow like 10.5 rear.

I will be buying another set of CCW soon. You can not beat CCW for quality and cost. Lots of race teams use their wheels.

Also check with RonCT on this forum. Ron has a super nice set of Fiske 18's with MPSC on them for sale. A lot of race teams use Fiske.

Great advice Mike. I forgot about Ron's Fiske's... Both CCW and Fiske make great wheels, easy on the eyes as well.

Hi Northvan, just curious as to why this is. (I have been considering some 18" rims + tires too). The stock 19" PS2 (295/30-19) does 799 revs per mile so I was looking at the 295/35-18 (wich comes on the stock C4) on a 18x11" rim since it turns 797 revs per mile - very close to stock. the 315/30-18 turns 817 revs per mile - not a huge difference, but a bigger difference than the 295. I know the 235/40-18 (normal Porsche 18" front size) turns 819 revs per mile, and this is closer to the 315 wide rear, but unless you have a C4 or C4S wouldn't it be better to stick to the stock revs per mile for the drive wheels? (for the speedo and odometer)

I could be completely wrong and missing somthing here so I appreciate your insight.

Thanks,
John

If you find a 295/35/18 in an R comp, then go for it.

I couldn't find any, 295/30/18 is available, but too short.

Actually you can keep the overall diameter the same between your 18" and 19" by running these 18"

245/40/18 front
305/35/18 rear

I ran these on 9x18 and 12x18 CCW wheels. Then I tried out

255/35/18 front
315/30/18 rear

This dropped the over all diameter down but dropped it evenly so there was no ABS issues. This essentially lowered the car and geared down the rear for better acelleration out of the corners.
