Wow! Great link... thanks for sharing.
This exhaust has a very clean sound which is similar to the new 997.2 x-pipe based systems.
When you click on the Kreissieg website and take a look at their 997 exhaust (which also sounds very clearn/smooth) you'll notice that they also use an x-pipe except in this case, on a *pre-facelifted 997*.
I'm convinced that the x-pipe is the source of the smoother sound... with the two cylinder banks on the flat-6 never crossing at any point, I've always felt that the 911 sounds more like a pair of angry 3 cylinders than a harmonic 6 cylinder.
So I guess this begs the question - why don't more vendors create x-pipe based systems for the pre-facelifted 997?

its weird because i thought more of the opposite, that the exaust sounded rough and raw. heres a link that shows many of the other exhausts. love the way the flat-6 sounds in this.

To me it sounded quite raspy.
Reminded me of the raspiness inherent in the e46 M3.

I suppose I'm in the minority (either that or my ears need a re-tune!)
well in either case... I do personally love how this sounds and I still wonder why x-pipe 997 systems aren't more prevalent
BTW justatoy is right - They make one for the 997; it's on their website as well (click on "exhaust" on the top menu then 997)

The car in the video sounds so good because it is a GT3. The 996 GT3 and the 997 GT3 sound very different than the 997 or 997S 3.6 or 3.8 engines.
There is no way to get your Carrera or Carrera S to sound like a GT3.

Oh wow that car sounded great...no one buys these things because it costs you an arm and a leg. You can get a whole exhaust system for the cost of just the muffler setup as well as software.
