Exclamation Dealer Loaner Cars

I was just wondering why Porsche doesn't give out Porsche loaner cars. Any ideas? BMW, Lexus etc. etc. provide loaners. This thought just came up as I left my car at the Porsche dealer and I was proudly driving away in my brand new 2009 KIA!!! I would have been happier in a base Boxster or Cayman.....

When I got my car serviced for the first time, I asked them that too...their response "what do you think this is, BMW?".

Oh I missed being spoiled by Benz's free loaners when you get your car serviced or their complimentary shuttle that drops you off where you want.

Most high end cars (Ferrari , Aston, Porsche, Lambo, Bentley etc) don't . These cars are NOT like BMW's or Lexus and who knows whats on the horizon for loaner cars in this economy . IMO --cost cutting is something car manufacturers face daily as they struggle in this climate . It would not surprise me to see BMW cut loaners and free maintenance too except they have so many of those big ugly Bangled cars collecting
dust on their lots at this time that they will have to evolve too.

Well my dealer gives loaners but they are basically the base level enterprise rent a cars. On the up side, I really appreciate my car even more when I pick it up......

What's even more irritating to me is when you're in an accident that is someone else's fault, and you're stuck with a crappy loaner. Allegedly if someone costs you money, you're supposed to be "made whole". Apparently your high quality life experiences aren't part of "whole"?!

Danbury Porsche in Connecticut used to do that too, but they dropped it. It may've been due to the condition of the cars when they were returned or the cost of the overall program.

my dealer gives us boxers (if you bought your car there, they are pretty bad about giving them to "outsiders")

it depends on the Dealer. My dealer gave me a Cayenne when my car was in last night. look on the bright side, at least we get a loaner, plus your only stuck with it temporarily...

I take my car to Porsche Of Arlington in Virginia, and they provide loaners, like from Enterprise or similar. The loaners are not Porsche's, but it really is convenient to have something to drive while they work on your car.

For warranty service my dealer does give loaners, but not for regular maintenance.

I understand why they don't do it regularly, because then they would have to factor that into the price of service.
