Alarm is too sensitive?

Guys,
It seems like every time I return to my car (in a parking lot), the alarm is going off! I don't need the extra attention It seems like it happens when someone parks in the spot next to me. Is there an adjustment for the sensitivity? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Nick

That is not normal, but the fix is common sense: take it to the dealer and have them examine and correct the system.

I have a problem (06 CS) occasionally in high wind and others have posted to complain of noise such as loud motorcycles setting off the alarm. My dealer advises me there is no sensitivity setting. While you are deciding when to schedule a service visit to rule out malfunction you can lock the car w/o the internal alarm by pressing the lock button twice rapidly (check the manual). Your tail lights will confirm the setting. This is useful if you want to lock the car w an occupant inside and need to disable the movement/noise sensors. You might also look for a quieter corner to park the car if that applies.

Thanks! The alarm sounded last night in my quiet & empty garage, so this may be a malfunction.
