Does anyone know how much it generally cost to install lowering springs--either Eibach or Techart?? Is this a DIY project? Thank you.

 

It's a few hours plus an alignment . Some have been quoted 8 hrs , others less . I never modified only one part at a time. I don't recall.
I found it best to buy five items and talk price on multiple mod installation . I liked it , the tuner likes it, my wallet debates it --long term its cheaper because eventually it all ends up on your car anyway.

 

i am planning about $500-$600 for my install and alignment. We shall see though, i haven't called around yet. Hope to get the springs next week...

 

My price was equivalent to 500-600 USD so your estimate is spot on for install and alignment IMO

 

What is the difference in the cost of springs vs coilovers?

It would cost the same or a tad less less since coilovers contain the spring and shock assembly as a single unit; lowering springs on the other hand require compressing/removing the OEM spring and then compressing/mounting the lowering spring.

 

The job is the same amount of work, you will pay more if you corner balance your car when installing the Coil Overs

 

I was qouted 500 including the springs (eibach), that is without alignment. Alignment should run about another $100

 

just wondering where did you get your installation done in Toronto? I am thinking of doing mine before summer

ok in chicago i have gotten quotes of $675 install and align all the way to $1400 install and align. that is with me supplying the springs. ouch!

 

Should be in the $500-$750 range
