New here, ready for flames on my Q
The AMG Benz can run straight . It can growl , it's plush,it's elegant , it's fast . It was one of the cars I considered for my girlfriend because she had an E class , service was great to her but in the end even she wanted a more road connected road feel with a car . We chose an M3 but I wish we bought the 997S . The Porsches really are that much more hands on for driving enthusists . Even the Turbo which many Normally aspirated guys claim has some interactive loss with its AWD and Turbo engine still has this monster power . Modded --it's faster too -much faster and to boot it will run it on corners too. Plus with a Tubi race exhaust its an all out animal in sound.
I don't have a youtube account but I do have a sound clip . Shoot me a PM and I'll e mail it to you. A few on here have heard and or seen my car.

I had a TPC SC kit. Nice thing about most aftermarket pieces, is that you can take them off and re-sell them - which is what I did with my 997. Returned it to bone stock for a TT. check out :

So for me, I think I need to just chill and enjoy my bone stock 997 C2S
Taylor, my experience with a 2006 C2S Cab and then a 2007 C2S coupe is I put on Fabspeed mufflers for better sound, BMC filter and did a Softronic ECU tune. The ECU tune made the most difference but the Fabspeed Max Flow mufflers helped the ECU tune.
I do not know how much money you have to burn but if you had around say $10k a supercharger would give you the best bang for the buck but I personally am not convinced a supercharger does not hurt this stock engine miles and years down the road.
I think if you did Fabspeed headers, 200 cell cats, mufflers, Evo intake and Softronic ECU tune you would notice some difference but not supercharger difference.

No time to read all the posts, but here's your most cost effective:
X51 headers (Porsche and something like $625), low-flow cats (I had AWE and liked them), and software (I like Softronic).
For that you will get a nice tone improvement from the headers and cats, as well as better engine management via the Softronic.

If you are only going to keep the car a year or two, don't do any aftermarket on it. Your post indicates very low mileage, and if it stays fairly low, bone stock is probably the best way to go for best resale value.
Welcome to the six! Buy and install the SC- Drive the hell out of it and have fun. Remove the SC before you sell it in 2 years. Life is short, who's thinking 2 years down the road when it comes to enjoying that sweet ride today??
Do it!!
Do it!!
