Putting muffler back together

For those of you DIYers, I am getting the "Gundo Hack" tomorrow and taking the cans down myself. When putting back together, did anyone put any exhaust paste in the fittings, little bit of synthetic oil to slide back with ease? There is really only one fitting from the mufflers to the cats, so has anyone experienced any leaks?

I helped put an exhaust before on a different car and used exhaust paste to create a bond, but don't want to bond on the Porsche in case I need to remove the "Gundoed" cans later!

Please fill me in with your experiences putting the mufflers back in place.

Much appreciated fellow Porsche enthusiasts!!

2" would be terrific. You can't go wrong either way...

Cheers,
Gundo

997.2 PSE Muffler Hack ??

I am sure people have contemplated this, but I do not see any discussion on it.

Like most things, exhaust sound is subjective. To me, with the PSE engaged, the sound is good, however I would like some more sound/volume.

In a 997.2, with the PSE and Sharkwerks (or other mid-muffler delete), the exhaust note is great at start up. As the car/engine warms up, the sound winds down - too quiet for me. I would like to keep
the PSE dual mode function, but have an additional exhaust volume increase.

I think that a "Gundo" type hack (similar to the Gundo gen ll) on the PSE mufflers, connecting the inflow and outflow pipes may add a bit to the exhaust note. Maybe something small in diameter like 1"- 1.5".

What are the collective thoughts on this ?
