Pics requested silver / blk

Hello all,
Looking for some ideas about wheel colors. When I was shopping for the car originally, I saw an arctic silver c2s with factory lobsters painted black with a silver lip. I was not a fan of this at the time, but the idea has grown on me. I currently have this same color with silver lobsters. I looked into getting my wheels painted and called one of the site sponsers (wheel enhancement) but was told that they had problems with previous projects and were not doing this anymore. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.

I really don't like black wheels in general (except Dymag carbon but not on arctic) but as much as I don't like them on an Artic Silver car to me it looks even more like a wheel taht needs to be cleaned . Look at this beautiful Turbo ruined aesthetically by a black wheel ( and an amber side marker) . Arctic is such a classic color that a simple spoke (silver or brushed) wheel would retain its understated simplicity.

i agree... silver on black does not do it for me, but asthetics is a subjective thing....

Heres what I like and could not find it on a silver car but the white car shows it nice . I found it on a sponsor's site. See how beautiful a simple spoke wheel can look . In silver I think this would look beautiful. It's a Champion wheel BTW. Great quality too.

Another option using silver Champions.

thank you yrralis. i do like those wheels! yeah, i must admit i wasn't originally sold on black wheels, but of course i saw another car on the road, etc... and it was a very nice combo. imo, the silver accent makes the look. without it, black just looks dirty in poor light. i guess i'm off to price out some champion wheels now.

if anybody else has a suggestion--i'm not fixated on black only. i would just like something tasteful and distinctive.

I don't give a crap what people think about it. I like it. Here is my rig. Oh, and to top it off, i powder coated my tips to match. -
If you really want to get wicket - buy the OZ ultraleggra HLT in Matte Black.

Don't care for it.

I'm going to test drive the car below tomorrow, but I already discussed swapping out the wheels with the dealer over the phone. I opened the pic's in an email while i was talking to him via my cell and the first thing out of my mouth, was...."well, if you want to sell me that car, the rims gotta go.....along with the tint"

thanks for chipping in fellas. i do like the polished rim but personally, i don't like "mesh" wheels. i.e. bbs style. i think what i'm attracted to about all black = all business. i'm going to have to search out some more pics and setups.

tint, or no tint

The best way to remove tint is new windows! I have removed tint from two cars before, and unless you plan to spend four tedious hours cleaning and conditioning the glass, your windows will never operate smoothly again.. :/ better to stick with the NICE looking tint...I also have an Arctic Silver w/tint, and waiting for my OZ Ultraleggara's to come in!!! I agree the wheels on that car have to go

I think that this looks great! To pull off back wheels on a silver car, lowering the ride height is a must - like Jetpilot's. All others in this thread just look odd IMO...

Thanks GT - I totally agree with you on the lowering. Blk on Silver is a personal thing - I like it for now... I am thinking of the OZ ultraleggra HLT in black too. The beauty of painting OEM wheels is that for virtually 100.00 a wheel, you can go back to silver. I know, I know...once you go......you want want to go back...
