Custom Model Designations

I'm curious to see what people have, or have wanted to get back there instead of the standard model designation. I've seen a few colored letters and various other words before and thought they added a nice touch. I was personally interested in replacing the "Carrera 4S" with a "911" badge or something.

I believe www.bumperplugs.com has a variety of different choices. I have seen the "S" replaced with a red colored "S". If you liked "911" you can get the anniversary logo that came on the '03 I believe. Some people take the logo off completely but I like the look of the logo. By the way, I was wondering how much over invoice the dealer wanted on your C4S build. I believe the C4S invoice is $83,000, MSRP is $93,200. Thanks!

DPorcella@sbcgl is infamous around these parts
Cam: I obsessed about all those details -- before the car arrived.

Now, none of it seems so important, because the drive is the thing!

(FWIW I got the body-color badge, which I think looks nice.)

For sure once the car gets in, it's not going to matter if it was painted hot pink, but I have to have something to think about and start working on during the 4 month wait.

I definitely would care if it was pink... I am paying a lot of $ to get the car, PINK is a personal choice tho...

Small details make cars different from one another... You must personalize your car according to your taste. That is why I have been spending days and nights to find the right parts for me and my car...

boring 997's

Badge is a great start, I went black 911 along with a ton of other things.... IMO nothing as boring and blah as a stock base model 997....c4s with its wide **** and better 19 wheels looks better but still does not look the part of a 100K+ sports car, For those that claim to buy a porsche for the subtle looks your in the minority..... but many (like me) buy a car for the combo of looks, performance, reliability, fit/finish etc.... and unless you go GT series, turbo or some aero parts, or mod I would NOT own a P car. I think its great your looking to do something unique to your car...
