AWE sounds more airy/farted...some like it some don't. Fabspeed sounds deeper at idle and has more of a cup car wail above 4500rpm at WOT.

Bara, do want a lot more volume or just a better tone?

200 cell cats will greatly increase the decibels. Any of the mufflers mentioned in this thread will increase decibels but not s much as 200 cell cats.

IF you just want a better sound then just go with mufflers only. I personally like Fabspeed and Tubi. Fabspeed sounds deeper and Tubi is a little more raspier.

Borla also has some nice well built mufflers too. A lot of people here like AWE but to me they have more of a puffy/airy/farty sound.

I have heard all the mentioned above in person at various track events except the Borla. My only experiece with Borla is on some Vette's I've owned years ago.

All of the systems are great quality and sound preference is almost like debating music choices . The amount of HP gains between one Vs the other is like splitting hairs . I love the schrill rasp sound of the Tubi in the 997.1 . In the 997.2 I would opt for the Sharky exhaust. In the 997tt I had the Tubi regular but would pick cargraphic UNLESS going for a catless exhaust and then it's Tubi race. The AWE system is also fantastic and if price and performance are factored together it's the one I would pick for a 997.1 S . I've heard them all ..I like them all . One can be like me two cars and three sport exhausts later I;m rolling witha Tubi race in my 997tt and I'm done .

The problem with this issue is that it's all extremely subjective and few have done a live audition of all of the exhaust systems out there. I will throw in my opinion though (!) and say that I recently installed a set of Fabspeeds (mufflers only) on my car that were pre-owned. I couldn't be happier. Deeper and airier than stock, really open up nicely at high rpm's while being sociable at low speeds. The build quality is outstanding and the weight reduction is significant. Very nice.

I would be willing to meet up tomorrow if you want to hear them. Just PM me.

Jon
Agree completely with Jon. I have the Cargraphic "medium" version (slightly less "loud" as Jon's) and couldn't be happier.

To the OP:

I can post a short sound clip of my Tubi exhaust for you once Im back in town. I am very happy with the investment that I have made on my Tubi and if I had to do it again, I would do the same.

Would like to hear your clip also. Did you do just mufflers or center muffler delete pipes as well?

That sounds great - I may just have to do this.

But damnation - you need to get rid of that car to your left so you can open your door!
