Tubi or Cargraphic

Mufflers only. Please provide pros / cons of both. Leaning towards Cargraphic...

I've just installed the full Tubi exhaust system, the car sounds insane from 1st - 3rd & under WOT, perhaps a little too loud for my taste due to the neighborhood that I live in.

It's all a matter of taste. As far as build quality, both are excellent. With respect to power gains, there is no noticeable difference. Pick the one that sounds better to you. I like both equally well, but got a better deal on the Tubi from another 6 speeder on these forums. You can always click on my link to hear the Tubi (without bypass pipes/muffler only).

I love how Cargraphic sounds! Earlier I have listened to a sound clip from their website, and it was amazing! Even from a laptop speaker I was fully satisfied...

My cousin has the Tubi system on his 997 S, I hate the way it sounds... Sounds like a f**kin' tractor... That is not the way a Porsche is supposed to sound like, it's awful...

To the OP, any reason why you didn't include Fabspeed into the equation?

Hey Joe, not to argue with you or anything but I think the AWE sounds better...

Hey sin911, forgot about AWE. OK, to the OP, did you consider AWE as well as as Fabspeed as well as the others?

I'm thinking exhaust is going to be my next mod. Since my car is a Cab and I have to keep my wife happy, what is the best sounding exhaust that is not over the top loud? I've heard Fabspeed sounds good, is not to expensive, and not to loud.

I repeat, the AWE sounds great. The head mechanic in the Collection in Miami installed AWE full system on his car, I heard it and it was really great. It was the best exhaust I ever heard...

Never got a chance to listen to Cargraphic live but the sound clip was awesome! Here's the website: http://www.cargraphic.de/stepone/data/downloads/7e/01/00/Sound_997_ETS.mp3

I just installed the Cargraphics sport version last week and love them. It was mufflers only and there is no drone in the cabin. Personally I think they sound like the PSE and have a nice deep throaty sound which is what I was looking for. I see you live in the OC. I would be willing to meet up tomorrow if you want to hear them. Just PM me.

If you're looking for sound but no extra performance, Tubis are the best sounding mufflers you can buy for the 997S, period. I had them on my 997S and really miss the insane Italian music from the tailpipes! Eventually I changed to a full AWE system (inc cats & headers) for performance but (sorry Todd and crew) the Tubis sounded so much better!

Headers will alter the sound quality of the Tubi and make it even more special (whilst adding 5 or 6 BHP above 6000 rpm). Don't use them with 200-cell cats though, they're designed to sound 'right' with the extra silencing the standard ones offer. They sound like a knackered tractor if used with free-flow cats!

Buy and enjoy.

I loved my Tubi . They are light , polished , great quality and the sound is phenominal . I never considered the cargraphic but did think about it when I bought my Turbo . Opted for Tubi again on the Turbo . Then upgraded to the Tubi race version . That is best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a Porsche .

Edit .. 2nd best exhaust .
Best exhaust goes to the Carerra Gt.

i have the tubi line (primary and secondary)on my 997.2

the sound is incredible (near F430)

i have the same opinion than jmanE55 in paris in small street the sound is difficult for pedestrian

the most incredible is the cold start during 30 sec it seem you have lost the muffler like a cup car

on this post i have record my tubi:
