997s cab price question
997s cab price question
Looking for an '06 or '07 997S cab and wondered what the market is currently demanding from a price perspective. I know that there are a lot of variables to consider (i.e., miles, options, CPO or non, etc etc) but was looking to tap into the experts here to give me some ranges I can use as a guide.
Also, does anyone have one for sale or could recommend a dealership in the Northeast that I should look at?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Part of the challenge is that I'm just not seeing many "s" cabs. I've found a ton of coupes that fit what I'm looking for, and even a few non "s" cabs but not many '06-'07 "s" cabs.

In term of your question, I say alot of it has to do with location (Southern Cal versus Buffalo for example) and time of the year of the sale (spring versus the dead of winter). If I had to put some dollars on this question, I'd say everything being the exact equal (and how often does this occur), I'd say a Cab would command about a $5k - $7k premium. Again, just one person's opinion (who happens to have bought a used 2008 C4S Cab when I first started out looking for a C2S Coupe).

It's "Cab season" in the Northeast right now..starts in April and peakes in June. Every year this time Cabs are bought up because people know you only get 4 really good months of cab weather a year in the Northeast and people want to make the most of it.
06 997s is the sweet spot for used right now as it has taken all the major depr. hits and still most have 1 year of facorty warranty left..If you buy an 07/08 your just getting more warranty.
06 997s Cabs with under 10k in miles and well optioned- full leather, sports chrono, Bose, Navi..if you can find one, your looking at 58k to 62k..C4s your at 65k to 68k..private party..dealer add 7k to the asking price but who knows on any given day what they will take. An 07 of the same add 10k to the prices above.
Most will tell you where mileage"hits" a Pcar take in depreciation are 10k,25k,and 50k. A 20K+miles Cab can be had for less but I would never purchase at that many miles...too much history has gone by with the car IMHO.
Everyone will say that "oh you can do better" and you may be able to...but a clean, well optioned car is going to fetch a the 55k to 67k price(depending on 997s or C4S)...everybody wants to drive these cars for free...PCAR owners know this ride ain't free...but it is one hell of a ride.
Look at this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...fCarsQ5fTrucks
35,000 miles is a lot of miles for a 3 year old porsche(by our standards on this board) and not even a cab..trades at 55K.. If it were a cab with under 15,000 miles it would probably sell for 67k, dealer would be asking 73k.
Auto trader listings usually have the prices jacked up, the prices I have estimated are what I know for a fact deals are getting done at...all others are mostly wishes.
I would say Town Motors in NJ or Paul Miller NJ are very fair and good to deal with, The NYC dealers think you have cash dripping off you and treat you accordingly.
GL with your search..

Thanks NYC...I appreciate the information. The coupe that you linked to is great. Honestly, I'd prefer a coupe (and that one is at a great price) but the wife really wants a cab so it looks like that's the direction I'm headed for.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

It is not that many miles if you keep your car forever. To a perspective buyer, it is a lot of miles for a 3 year old Porsche .
