Did You Know?

That PCNA has sent out an internal memo to dealers in the U.S. asking them to remove all 2010 inventory from their websites

I'm pretty sure this is because there is still a massive surplus of over 1,500 2009 911's sitting around collecting dust.

Furthermore, there are about 100-200 MY2010 911 Carrera's already being prepped for shipment from Germany - if not already on the ship.

Can you say "now is the time to buy that Porsche I've always wanted?"

What made me call my dealer and inquire was that I noticed a lot of dealers had 2010s listed in their inventory online - all of the sudden - they were all gone.

A quick call to my longtime dealer confirmed my suspicions.

At some point I should pick up a twin turbo or a GT3, but I promised to wait until the 997 replacement comes out.

Braincutter, I've seen a few Turbo's being discounted by $30k. Brand new, 2009 TTs...

The dealerships are empty! I recently passed by 2 Porsche dealerships and saw that they had very little on the used lot, and even less on the new lot! Very hard times for Porsche.

Mazatlan - where are you finding 2009 turbos with $30K discounts?

I don't mind a blk/blk manual twin turbo coupe with ipod and blue tooth, without full leather interior. I've got to give my dealer a look!

I think the new turbo will no longer be a dry sump engine...perhaps the current one might be a good choice?

I think full leather (seats, doors and dash) is standard on the turbo if I'm not mistaken

Six weeks later and Autotrader still shows over 2,000 new MY2009 911s on dealers' lots around the U.S.. (124 Turbos, 1948 all other 911s)
