I know TechArt makes them dry. Scroll down on this page and you'll see them: http://www.cecwheels.com/tunerproduc...ramfor997Turbo

I would recommend MACarbon, but I'm not sure if they currently carry dry carbon parts. Hope this helps

Searching the internet using the TechArt part number for these (097.121.320.009), I found this site that shows them at $469: http://wheelsperformancecom.stores.y...iinmacafi.html

So that looks to me like the retail price.

Check with board sponsors and other vendors who carry TechArt parts and they *may* be able to give a slightly better price. Tell them you are a 6speedonline member and see if they will give you a break.

I think you are referring to the shiny vs matte clear coat. That is different from dry vs wet carbon, which refers to the manufacturing process of the carbon parts.

Wet carbon = FRP core with hand laid CF and resin

Dry carbon = resin pre-impregnated CF formed into shape and then autoclaved

In general, wet = for looks, dry = real weight savings

Good clearing that up Kev.

Just found that ROTtec has glossy carbon mirror inserts for $170 a pair and will special order them in matte (don't know cost). http://www.rotteccarbon.com/997carrera2.php
