997.2 pcm

Hi Folks,

A question on PCM3.0. I have an 997.2 that has Navi option, however, its with UK Maps. How can I get ASIAN Maps since I live here . I guess I dont need "codes" as the car is enabled with Navi, just no local maps.

Many Thanks

I believe the dealer would need to load it on the pcm, or you would need to purchase the dvd and do it your self. I haven't done one yet so I'm not certain.

The 997.2 is hard drive based.. so the data is on the hard disk. How how it gets there I don't know. Porsche may have a way of loading the data from a CD, or it may get uploaded by the PIWIS computer at a dealer, or may require the installation of a new hard drive as they come preloaded.

You almost certainly have to go to your closest dealer in your region and find out from them how to accomplish it.

Yup, I am in Singapore. I am trying to find and willing to purchase the MAP DVD for ASIA, at least Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand. So far I can't find any but will continue searching. Let's keep in touch and exchange info if we can find one. . he question now is can we install ourselves or we need to get a dealer to do ? Do we need 'activation' of some sort ? PCM3.0 is HDD based, somewhat diff from previous PCM.
