Keep in mind, that for everyday driving, I prefer my new 20" wheels. Makes the car look nicer, I am not racing the car just driving to work or out for the evening, as for track events or other better performance driving needs, there is a reason I kept my stock 19" wheels and tires. Just a few minutes up on the jack, some quick hits with air tools and I have them back on the car. I do not do track events all that much, so it is not like I am having to switch them out all the time. Do what is best for your driving style and the reason you purchased the car.

When I was looking for new rims not a single person here on forum nor owner and mechanics in local racing porsche shop I use advised me on 20" rims. Everybody`s opinion was - if you do want a second set and have 19" - get 18", if you already have 18" - get 19".

19" OZs I got are perfectly spaced and look good enough for me, have no vibration issues in rain and my wife likes them plus I am pretty sure no other car in 200 miles radius has `em.

20" wheel would be too big there and would not have enough rubber depth. 19" fits just right.

If you want pre-owned OEM Porsche wheels, go with the GT3 (non RS) wheels exactly like Bara has. His car looks fantastic.

I would not go any wider than 11.5 on the rear. 305 rear tires are plenty wide.

Non OEM, I'm impartial to these

Amerlemans,

I have also been considering the Forgestar F14s on my 997.2 C2. What size Hankooks are you currently running? I know that many people say the Hankooks are the best bang for the buck. Have you experienced any negatives with this tire that would make you replace it in the future with another brand? Thanks for your help.

I went with 295s but wish I would have gone 305s. I can't speak to the 'Kooks wear as of yet because I've only had them on for 2 weeks but from a "sticky" standpoint and handling standpoint, I can tell no difference between these and the PS2's that are on my stock wheels. The 'Kooks are quieter which is always a plus. Unless I only get 10-15k miles out of these tires, I will certainly buy them again.....just in 305s

Have wheels on order, they should be ready to rock and roll within the next 2 weeks... At the time I was looking at a used wheel becuase the deal was great, but at the end I ordered a new set of wheels with the finish and look I like...
